Abstract
Over current relay is equipment that is very important for protecting the electrical system from disturbances that can cause overcurrent such as short circuits in the installation network and the use of electrical energy that exceeds the customer's usage capacity so that it can cause damage to equipment such as damage to transformers, damage to conductors and can expand the area. goes out. Data collection, preparation of over current relay devices as a fast charging protection system for solar panels. The purpose of making an over current relay is as an over current protection tool in order to minimize damage to components and other electronic devices. This research method combines experimental and descriptive approaches. A descriptive approach was used to review literature related to relevant tools in this research. Meanwhile, the experimental method is designing an over current relay as a fast charging protection system for solar panels. Over current relays can work with a fast response, are flexible, are not easily damaged, are accurate in overcoming disturbances and are designed with electronic circuits. This prototype form of over current relay protection is designed using the LM358GN IC as a controller. The current setting on the Over current relay is 2.1 amperes and is equipped with a green LED indicator light which indicates normal current and a red LED indicator light which indicates excessive current.
